Splended soup of the day ~ Zuppa della casa at RM8.90 per bowl and it goes well with Garlic Bread (RM5.90)

Lantern Festival?

Mooncake Festival?

Mid-Autumn Festival?

Well, they are the same with several legends behind it.  

Held on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese calendar.  

So this year, it falls on the 12th of September, according to the Gregorian calendar.

So get ready those mooncakes and lit up some lanterns. 

Mooncakes normally come in golden brown flaky skin but nowadays, mooncakes made from jelly can also be found

Going Juicy with Avocado

I guess, most of us know the benefits of avocados.  

Though high in calories, it is rich in monounsaturated oil with soluble fibre.  

Not only that, the fruit, also popularly known as the alligator pear because of the shape and rough skin, have more protein than any other fruit.  

So had a juicy morning breakfast (together with egg in the basket) with a newly obtained Healthy Drink MIXER.  With a mixtures of (one) avocado + (two) grapefruits + 140 gram of yogurt + honey to taste = Healthy Drink Mix indeed :)))

Grapefruits, on the other hand, are especially high in pectin that helps to lower blood cholesterol.

Other benefits include the high content of vitamin C and potassium plus bioflavonoids and other plant chemicals that protect against cancer and heart disease.

Astaga!!! My Sunday morning cook-out didn't work....not
 even 90% because it turned out distorted.  I mean the egg.....

Roasted Potato

I must say that I'm always the most hardworking soul on Sundays.  

Had another cooking experiment this morning by roasting some boiled potatoes in the oven 

and adding some chives + coriander leaves + black pepper + olive oil.
