Had a total
different environment at this year’s reunion dinner. Normally, at home, mum and I would prepare
all the required food, from a once-a-year crab dish (yeah, we are trying hard to
stay away from the high LDL cholesterol
piling up in the blood-stream) to the must have simple fried prawn, from
early morning so that by 11am or 12 noon, we would be already sitting by the
table and eating to usher in the new year.
Yeah, that’s early, normally to the foochows, correct me if I’m
wrong. This year, however, I have my
beloved husband who is already calling himself half-chinese half-indian and few
other Baha’i friends who are basically either half or none-chinese, sitting
together to indulge the best of the many dishes prepared by Aunty Lily at her
home with another half-chinese half-indian man aka the beloved husband, Uncle
Mageswaran (hahaha!). That’s what I
called a great reunion dinner as one-big-happy family. Love it!
So don’t
just wait for the Dragon to come. Well,
let’s start eating!
