Fish Head Noodle (Yu Zhi Xiang)

So went to another eatery place that offers a variety of freshwater labang dishes

such as porridge and noodles. 

Labang is in the same family as patin but with a more tasty flesh

and doesn't give any muddy smell though it's a freshwater fish.

Opt for freshly made Barley without sugar.  Also got fresh green-bean.....

A set of beehoon noodles and a bowl of mixed fish slice clear soup.

that opens from 7am to 2pm daily except Tuesdays.

I want that BIG OVEN!!!

Oh, how I wish I had a big, sophisticated oven for me to bake some cakes and cookies.....and pizzas too.  Ihiks! So, for the moment, guess I will only rush to this newly-opened restaurant that serves mostly western food with its big oven.  Went there yesterday for dinner...for the second time.  

 

Big Oven is situated at the Ground Floor, Lot 3249, Block 10, Lorong Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce. 



That's specially for the pizza :)




A pot of japanese green tea (RM6.80) and you can ask for refill....I mean, more hot water :)

Going kampua

The third day of Chinese New Year and I could see loads of people at the stalls everywhere around town......eating kampua.

Guess so many people craved for this typical noodle after two days off

Just recently complaint about the massive jam everywhere in Kuching town a week

before the Chinese New Year. 

Everywhere was busy too in Sarikei. 

Guess we were expecting to get the most of it for the New Year's eve reunion dinner.

Sunday at Choon Hui Cafe

Located at Ban Hock Road, this old coffee shop is not only
famous for its laksa and kolok mee,

but a RM2.20  popiah as well.....
well, that's what a health enthusiast person like me will look forward to :)

So went to Choon Hui Cafe for early lunch after a visit to dad's grave at the Rose Garden and as usual,
this place was full house until there was no more soya bean kosong :(
