Going kampua

The third day of Chinese New Year and I could see loads of people at the stalls everywhere around town......eating kampua.
Guess so many people craved for this typical noodle after two days off

Happy New Rabbit Year 2011

What a relieve!  Finally the new year is here once again.
So with my itchy finger on the shutter-release button, I could only posted up these pictures ^^

Eating mee sua with chicken soup

No matter how much sweat that one has to sacrifice.....well, Happy New Year everyone :)
As long as everyone could gather around and see each other again.
Doesn't  matter how short the reunion is.....it doesn't matter.......

No matter how many wrinkles on her face, she is still glad that they're all happy, smiling lines :-)

Thank God, we're still here today :)

The Eve

Used to watch short adverts on TV
showing the children and grandchildren that came back for reunion.
Guess who actually prepared all those food that were already on the table.

So, what's for the eve?

Cute pumpkin?

The new blooms of Ixora or is it not?

Just a simple reunion lunch before the reunion dinner :)

Won't miss the shot of lo kam (mandarin oranges)

yumm..........

1Malaysia dishes for dinner.....thanks to Fei Fei (my cousin-in-law) and fellow cousins for preparing all these food :)

Let's eat, loved ones :)

Thought that I just posted a few, ooops...only two pictures.
Too much smoke and sound that I nearly turned deaf.
Guess I need to practice more on how to catch a fireworks!

Days before the bunny celebration

Just recently complaint about the massive jam everywhere in Kuching town a week
before the Chinese New Year.
Everywhere was busy too in Sarikei.
Guess we were expecting to get the most of it for the New Year's eve reunion dinner.

A rare moment while crossing the road
...........both heading to the nearby water-front

Mum:  Fried beehoon for dinner!

Bro:  Fried Mee for dinner!

Bro:  What a small portion......duh! hehe
