Used to be worried I'll be running out of aloe vera but once my mum planted about 4-5 pots of them, powww......now, we have to buy more pots and top soils. What a perfect day for gardening today.....
By the way, why the many aloe vera you may think? I will just cut a chunk off a large leaf, slice it lengthwise and massage it all over the face, letting all those gummy gel sooth the skin.......every night before bedtime. It's naturally good for acne and wrinkles, better than applying those conventional acne medications.

It's the last Fri of the Month
Got such pleasant surprise from little Eva and Evita who came to spend a day with their parents at the office. Really missed them so much that I gave such big loving hugs to the two of them. Then, we had our breakfast together.
Around noon time, went out for lunch with a fellow radiographer friend at Old Town White Coffee. Noticed some new dishes and new menu but we indulged ourselves with the following options.

Being the designer in the house.....
....haha...thought I'll become a designer or something? But maybe I should consider of being one, one day? Fat chance! Better become a photographer instead.........anyways, have a sneak peak of my two soon-to-be additions to the batik pieces that I have in my wardrobe.
I love this particular design batik print......a piece worn during my convocation day in August. |
Another nice piece of baju kurung from one of Rosie's collection that I thought want to just post it up.... |
Ideal Shade Matte Mousse Foundation
My favourite from Avon and can't go out under the sun without it. Went to the store with the intention to buy a new bottle but ended up buying a promotional set that comes with a concealer stick. Oh well. At least is worth it since they come with a free 7-piece make up brush set. Yeah, finally got myself a brush for my eye shadow....

Wanna look real good?
althA fellow colleague loves to observe people and this morning, he encountered a lady who happened to walk by and from there, he knew she's sick. Guess, a person's look is rather important. To look real good and glowing from head to toe are all measures of health and vitality. So, would like to share the ten-step facial to a healthy complexion without spending a fortune on cosmetics and commercial treatments (got all these from Reader's Digest: 1001 Easy Ways for Earth-Wise Living)....:)
KEEP OUT OF THE SUN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
This to prevent premature ageing and the risk of developing skin cancer
USE SUNSCREEN
Apply it about 30 minutes before you go out
EAT A DIET HIGH IN NATURAL FIBRE
Digestive problems can cause skin blemishes. So eat lots of fruit, vegetables and whole grains.
TRY TO MINIMIZE OR COMPLETELY AVOID EXPOSURE TO YOUR SKIN'S NATURAL ENEMIES
Natural enemies? Yup and these include stress, too many late nights, coffee, alcohol and yeah, if you see people smoking in front of you, KEEP OUT! or you if smoke yourself, well....you know what to do....
AVOID SOAP
Choose a gentle cleansing oil or cream instead.
MOISTURISE YOUR FACE EVERY DAY
To achieve smoother and more even appearance
DRINK 8 GLASSES OF WATER A DAY
Even though you have to go to the loo like almost every 15 minutes
GIVE YOUR SKIN TIME TO REST AND BREATHE
Clean thoroughly and leaving it free of moisturisers and make up
APPLY FRUIT ACIDS IN THE FORM OF A FACE MASK
Enzymes and acids in the fruit help to slough off dead skin cells, fade age spots and make your skin appear brighter
REGULAR AEROBIC EXERCISE
Oh yes, no escape....

So, want to look young and good....like my mum at 56.......Love you mum! |
Roll your life into popiah
Oh, I just love popiah (aka spring rolls) and I guess, the best I can get so far in Kuching is the fresh nyonya popiah from Uncle Joseph who owns a stall at Kwong Hup Cafe. Went there again this morning for a wholesome breakfast goodness with nutritional values due to the presence of various ingredients including shredded mengkuang(turnips)/sliced tofu/chopped french beans/bean sprout and chillies mixed together, wrapped in lettuce leaves and fresh popiah wrapper......auuummmmm, super hot and nice.....
Guess, if we place our life just like popiah, we can become truly one......One Planet One People.....

sPring sHopping at XiXiLi
.......of course, it's not spring in the cat city. Hahaha....I managed to grab some photos while a fellow colleague was busy picking and choosing a dunno-what-cup-size bra....(sorry, kak...what size did you buy just now? huhu....and do you think I should post photos of colourful, lace or simple brassierres??? never! haha....only in my facebook photo album yes!.....:).......and thereafter, had lunch with yong tau foo at the food court before grabbing ice-cream as dessert from Igloo.
better hit the mirror with this camera |
Had my favourite Green Tea Ice cream from Igloo...I know it's a none-sweet no taste dessert but I just love it. A healthier choice guys.......:)...... |
Ooh, guess the Villaineous is jealous of us eating ice-cream in front of her....just take a glimpse at that eye-brows..... |
Never miss out the driver.......must take the driver's photo while driving |
Loving this photo of my colleague Diana.....with a little bit of additional lens flare |
Why the blog....?
Guess, it's all about photography as I love taking photographs which I believe I have that talent in particular or maybe just coincidently happen to have ever since involved in taking microscopic photos of plasmodium malaria ages ago. I bought myself few cameras which initially started off with the non-digital automatic form of camera that I sold off for RM280 only to a friend before purchasing the digital one. At the moment am using Panasonic DMC-FX8 LUMIX that doesn't belong to me (shhhh! it's my bro's). So, I've been trying to save up to buy a DLSR one day but am still in doubt whether I should get one or not. Would love to have some comments (either positive or negative) posted that could assist me in making secondary decisions of whether I deserve one :)
