Travelling Up & Down

Have been travelling around every weekend since early July for short vacations and at the same time, Roy having meetings almost everywhere!!!
Though hectic, that's how I should enjoy my life, instead of just the usual routine - going to work, coming back to work, doing house chores, eat and sleep.
Cool isn't it?!
The best thing is, having to the quality time we spent with different people in our lives! And cherish the moment both of us spending together is still the best!

When hubby ordered Nasi Lemak Pak Nasser, I couldn't just keep quiet.  I want one too.......but some healthy wrapper from AirAsia.....nice!  Must wondering where we went to?  Yes, home!  We miss mum and Felix.  And Nee-nee and Mimi....
Quality time with family, playing......games?!?! Hahaha......
Sugarbun ice-cream is a must!

Took the reflection of slippers with different colors......this photo is taken in the hotel in Sandakan
I like this simple wardrobe!

Flown to Sandakan on the 27th July where hubby attended the NSA meeting.  That night there was a community gathering in Sandakan Baha'i Centre where it was so nice to see the friends and had a nice makan-makan.
Flora bought some cakes from Baker Field....yummy!

Breakfast at a coffee shop just next to our hotel.....
Banana Leaf Lunch with the Baha'i friends again after the meeting on July 28th....
My lunch, of course....before heading to the airport and leave for KK!

Bayridge Seafood Restaurant

Operated by Lok Thian Group,
Bayridge Seafood Restaurant located at Damai Central sure offers a wide range of food.
So it's time to grab one of the many tables at the balcony and offers a great view of the beach.

The Sunset at Damai Central

So happy hubby finally came back home but only for a night stay.
Came to see everyone at home, especially his mother-in-law.  Hehe.....and mum was so busy and happy preparing and cooking for her only son-in-law's homecoming!
That night also, we went out for a nice sunset dinner with a rather romantic environment at Bayridge Seafood Restaurant at Damai Central with friends.

Friends Reunited

This cake looks familiar huh?!!
Yup, that's right!
It's White Chocolate Macadamia from Secret Recipe.
So had a great dinner at Song Plaza's Secret Recipe outlet with my two lovely friends, Rosaline and Mary ~ still young at heart and continue to look young though having three and two children respectively.
We have not been seeing and chatting together for so long and they never fail to give womanly tips/advices to me which I really appreciated so much!
They're just so cute!

Hot Chocolate @ RM7.50

looks spirally pretty eh?!!

Seafood Spring Roll @ RM7.00

Chicken Cornish @ RM8.00
Rosaline with her big glass of Oreo Shake @ RM9.00
Thanks for the great dinner get together-gether, my friends.

Grateful

Fasting month of Ramadan will commence tomorrow, 21st July, this year
and would really like to wish all my Muslim colleagues and friends
Happy Fasting!

Even yesterday, I was blessed with a wonderful lunch arranged specially for me
before the fasting period begins and yeah, before my departure to the Land Below the Wind.
So thoughtful of them, I really wish to convey my sincere gratitude and wish them all the best in life.
I will surely miss them and the lab....and the office.
All the memories from day one will remain in my heart forever.....I'm totally grateful....

Trip to Pulau Salak

It was less than 30 minutes drive from the city
(probably because of the downpour since last night that caused the delay and I believe we could have reach the jetty within 20 minutes).
The feeling of excitement came together with some worries and fears because we had to cross the river in a boat.  And yes!!!?!?! The river is infested with crocodiles!
(but thank goodness, I didn't see any sightings of the monsters in the water...or anywhere near our boat........phewww.....!)

Upon arrival at the jetty......

They had to go to the island first.......and the boatman only allow 5-6 persons per boat.......

Cold wind brushes against their faces.......

Passed the bridge already.....
Could see the village already :)
the village above the water............

Welcome to Kampung Salak!

"Ok, we're leaving first!!!"

leaving already!

Heading back to the jetty
What a great experience, despite the discomfort of hot weather,
boat trips and lack of proper toilets, I had a great time with the rest of the team involved in the project lead by Dr Haironi Yusoff.
It's indeed another unforgettable memories especially when this may already be
my last field trip organised by the medical faculty.
